Torrey Pines Pub opened in October of 1991. Our goal was to create a place which allowed our neighbors to come and relax, enjoy good food, watch their favorite sporting events, play pool or arcade games, win at video poker and just shoot the breeze with friends and family!

It didn't take the neighborhood long to embrace our philosophy. Just look around on your next visit and you’ll see families enjoying dinner**, seniors taking advantage or our senior discount, pool players shooting, video poker players winning, sports fans cheering and lots of friends sharing how their day was!

We truly live up to our slogan “Your friendly neighborhood eating and drinking establishment.”

Your safety, pleasure, and comfort are our primary concern. We are proud of our Designated Drivers program which compliments our bartenders who are known for introducing themselves and caring for their customers.

Our servers will serve some of their regulars without asking them what they want because they already know.

Our food is some of the finest pub affair in the city. Charbroiled burgers, chicken and steak anchor a very diverse menu which also includes great sandwiches, appetizers and and a full breakfast selection.

As the years have passed we have realized a need for a new slogan. You see our diners not only enjoy fine food at great prices but when they join our Frequent Buyers Club, they
can win cash discounts and prizes. Our pool teams have won state and state runner up titles. Our softball team has won the city championship. Our sports fans come to watch their teams win, video poker players not only hit jackpots but also earn cash with every hand when they use their players cash card.

**For 15 years we were able to serve dinners.

Due to the poorly written and misleading ballot question 5, we are no longer able to serve dinner. The Heart & Lung assoc. along with the help of the Resort assoc. pushed for and created an unfair competitive business environment by tying smoking to how many slot machines one has. 15 slot machines can't have food and smoking but 20 or more slot machines can. We don't see the connection to slot machines & lung cancer but perhaps more slot machines reduces the risk of cancer or maybe those who work in places with more slot machines will have all their health care provided for.

We will keep our kitchen open for breakfast and lunch smoke free then allow smoking for the remainder of the day so our smoking gamblers can continue to come to Torrey Pines Pub. Hopefully this ridiculous double standard is corrected in the future so we may once again serve dinner.
